Assoc. Director (SAP Treasury and Cash Management)

Major Accountabilities

• Own and drive solution design for Treasury and Cash Management area of finance, addressing business requirements and opportunities while following Novartis architectural standards, quality and information security principles.
• Configure solutions in SAP TRM, in the areas of Cash and Liquidity Management, Inhouse Cash, Advanced Payment Management (APM), BCM, and Treasury Operations.
• Collaborate closely with business and IT teams, global process owners (GPOs) and suggest standardized and simplified solutions that meet organizational objectives.
• Champion the standardization and simplification of design, minimizing the custom solutions only for cases where Novartis makes a difference in the market serving customers/patients.
• Prepare and run design workshops, identify critical integration points and dependencies, propose solutions for key gaps, provide effort estimations while ensuring alignment with business and IT teams.
• Assure consistency and traceability between user requirements, functional specifications, architectural roadmaps, regulatory/control requirements, and smooth transition of solutions to operations
• Deliver assigned work as per agreed program timelines adhering to the release calendar.

Minimum requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field.
• At least 7+ years of experience with implementation, design and delivery of SAP Treasury and Cash Management solutions in a global company.
• Hands-on experience configuring solutions in the areas of SAP treasury operations, cash management, in-house bank, APM and BCM areas. SAP certification in SAP Treasury modules, Advanced Payment Management (APM) or related areas is preferable.
• Proven abilities in presenting new concepts, project objectives, progress reporting, and facilitate review meetings with executive and senior audience while demonstrating strong business acumen.
• Consistent record of broad industry experience and solid understanding of complex enterprise IT landscapes and relationships. Experience in Agile project delivery and general management in an international environment.
• Strong analytical skills to assess complex financial requirements and develop SAP solutions that enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Excellent knowledge of business processes, experience in regulated system environment and ability to “speak business language” when talking about IT topics. Experience in advising peers and senior customers on complex issues and provide complex, contextual guidance to influence actions of internal and/or external partners.
• Ability to work with internal and external resources in different locations and time zones
