About the Role
Location: Mexico City #Hybrid
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Tax accounting, tax calculation, IFRS tax reporting
- Business acumen: very good understanding of various worldwide data models
- Curious and forward looking
- Digital savvy: very good grasp of the impacts and opportunities of data and technology will create to Novartis
- Leadership skills: ability to inspire change, involve country-experts and effectively communicate to relevant stakeholders
- Work closely with IT Experts, tax process owners and country experts, to ensure integrated and standardized solutions across the organization.
Major Accountabilities
- Strategic position to support repeatable and scalable deployment of Americas LDC releases. Functionalities of new Direct Tax application and functionalities to support corporate income tax accounting, calculation and reporting
- Facilitate robust collaboration between Functional and Business experts (~ country, NOCC, HUB, ...) to achieve sustainable process solutions.
- Assist in the planning, testing, DiTL and hypercare stages of the deployment in collaboration with global LDC leads, function leads and experts in NOCCs, countries and above country.
- Ensure Americas specific Taxes user requirements are captured, assessed and implemented or mitigated through LDC Americas project team
- Be the main point of contact for the Global Taxes LDC team and the Tax communities within the countries in scope to ensure the relevant topics are raised and tackled to comply with the LDC model
Education and experience
- University level degree
- 8 years Previous experience in tax department, tax and financial accounting in multinational companies
- Additional Project Management training, a certification/designation is desirable
- SAP knowledge preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English
