Résumé

The purpose of our IT Director (Open Source), Clinical Enablement role is to drive the open-source tooling definition and strategy for the SCAPE Statistical Compute Environment (SCE), in close collaboration with the SCAPE project team and Enterprise Architecture. This role will drive the open-source tooling approach that enables modern business capabilities, keeping pace with the latest open-source offerings, while also maintaining the validated state of the SCE. Oversee documentation of the SCE open-source architectural design, define SCE open-source tooling strategy and roadmap, and collaborate with Solution Architects from other key Development programs to evolve the SCE design in harmony with roadmaps of those programs.

About the Role

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee open-source architectural activities for the SCAPE SCE project and contribute to the development of the SCE transition state and target state architectures.  Define the open-source strategy and architectural roadmap for the SCE.
  • Coordinate with other teams to ensure business and technical open-source capabilities are incorporated into the solution, in alignment with business direction and strategy.
  • Ensure business processes, business requirements & outcomes are defined to drive the open source evolution.
  • Define and develop the logical design and information management plans necessary to store, move and handle data in a future target open source tooling states.
  • Ensure adherence to Enterprise standards, Architecture Governance (e.g. architecture methods, tools, practices and standards), supporting the Architecture Governance team / Community of Practice.
  • Ensure overall SCE user experience is taken into account when designing and deploying new versions and adherence to Cyber Security, Legal, ethics and other compliance policies and procedures in defining architecture standards, patterns, and solutions.
  • Coordinate with all other workstreams on the SCAPE project to deliver a quality SCE on time and within budget.
  • Monitor emerging trends in open-source technologies to ensure our roadmaps and platforms are future-looking.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a computer science, engineering or information technology discipline.
  • Significant experience working in an IT environment with experience working in Biostatistics and quantitative science data platforms in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Thorough knowledge of clinical trial processes and the application of quantitative sciences and toolsets in regulatory and exploratory pathways.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical data standards (CDISC – SDTM, ADAM, USDM) with an appreciation of different data modalities (ex. Biomarkers, Omics, Imaging).
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience in working with statistical computing and data science platforms.
  • Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
  • Technical background with experience in using open-source languages and associated supportive tooling such as package management, version control, CI/CD.
  • Advanced knowledge of Lean/ 6 Sigma, Design Thinking, Agile methodology and proficiency in project management tooling such as JIRA or similar.
  • Proficiency in English (oral & written).

An advanced degree and related accreditations a plus.
