We are seeking a highly skilled Lab Scientist with experience in hit to lead support in an immunology context to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in assay development (biochemical and cellular), compound profiling and screening of biochemical and cellular assays. The applicant will play a crucial part in supporting hit-to-lead activities of drug discovery programs in an immunology research context. A background in lab automation and liquid handling is a plus.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, optimize, and validate biochemical and cellular assays for drug discovery projects.
  • Support hit-to-lead activities and provide expertise in assay development and data analysis.
  • Perform medium-throughput screening of compound libraries and profiling of compounds using automated systems supporting hit to lead activities of various projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of automation solutions.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot automated liquid handling systems and other laboratory equipment
  • Train and mentor junior scientists and lab technicians in the use of automated systems.
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in lab automation and implement new technologies as appropriate.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or equivalent education in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in assay development, profiling, and screening in a drug discovery setting.
  • Proven expertise in lab automation and liquid handling systems.
  • Proficiency in data analysis from medium/high throughput screens and in the use of software such as Spotfire, Excel, GraphPad Prism
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Flexibility and on-demand support of lab automation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Organization, maintenance and supervision of lab automation
