Role Purpose:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Lab Technician to join our Chemical Structure Investigation (CSI) lab. The ideal candidate will possess a strong scientific mindset and curiosity, along with a broad skill-set in high-end analytical instrumentation. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from early-phase development to marketed products, and to gain a broad set of skills and experiences.
About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and execution of the full impurity elucidation workflow, including isolation and characterization.
- Develop and conduct HPLC-HRMS measurements and HRMS data analysis.
- Develop Prep-HPLC methods for the isolation of small molecules, synthetic oligonucleotides and RLTs (including DP formulations) at milligram-scale.
- Measure and interpret 1D and 2D-NMR spectra, including quantitative NMR (qNMR).
- Perform and develop HPLC-UV analysis.
- Use specific software like Chromeleon, OpenLab, XCalibur, or UNIFI/Waters Connect for data analysis and processing.
- Communicate results effectively with internal customers and collaborate with team members.
- Clean and traceable documentation of the results.
Qualifications:
- Strong scientific mindset and curiosity.
- Broad skill-set in high-end analytical instrumentation.
- Experience in HPLC-HRMS measurement and HRMS data analysis.
- Experience in developing Prep-HPLC methods and analyzing DS and DP.
- Experience in measuring and interpreting 1D and 2D-NMR spectra, including qNMR.
- Experience in HPLC-UV analysis.
- Experience with GC-FID and GC-MS.
- Familiarity with other qualitative analysis tools (IR, RAMAN, XRF, XRPD, SEM, etc.) is a plus.
- Experience with specific software like Chromeleon, OpenLab, XCalibur, or UNIFI/Waters Connect.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with internal customers and communicate results.
- Ability to work independently and organize one's own work.

- We are looking for candidates with completed apprenticeship as laboratory technician (Laborant/-in Chemie EFZ). The position is also open to applicants with BSc in the field of analytical chemistry or equivalent, with laboratory experience
